DIAGNOSTIC tests of resiliency are available to medium and small enterprises online from a leading enterprise organisation for free.
Loughborough University’s school of business and economics enterprise division has designed and written a resiliency assessment for small business to run across their operations to determine how well it can withstand unpredictable conditions and grow.
The resilience and growth tool, RAG, analyses strength and weaknesses and includes objective advice and an optional one to – one consultancy to see how well the business is performing.
An online questionnaire takes about half an hour to complete and evaluates core areas including external relations, business characteristics, performance and planning, added value, knowledge and resource management.
A four – page report will be made available as well as the follow – up meeting with one of the university’s staff. No financial details are required and there are options for further support with the Loughborough University or the Leicestershire Economic Partnership to support business development if necessary.
“The School of Business and Economics already has an established record of supporting SMEs and business start-ups, including providing research consultancy to a wide range of organisations, engaging in SME and entrepreneurship-focused research,” said a spokesperson for the university.

Details are saved as you go so there’s no need to complete the process at once and all data is confidential and stored in accordance with the university’s data protection policies.
