VISIONARY solutions to established eye care problems are setting a shining example and leading the way following the expansion of an opticians.
Seen on Loughborough’s High Street for 30 years J Haynes has been taken over by Leicester’s Glenfield Opticians near Glenfield Hospital extending the community- based treatment into the town.

‘The optical one – stop – shop provides NHS – standard consultations, welcomes NHS optical vouchers with on-site checks from optometrist Mr Mastafa Nabee, who’s also qualified to fast – track cataract treatments to community health eye centres .
J Haynes dispenses tailored optometry to families down the generations with a more personalised and individualised approach to care in a calm environment often recommended person – to – person.
Mr Nabaa said the eye tests are accessible to anyone who demands high – quality treatment without the high – end price tag with a comprehensive range of frames from budget to designer.
J. Haynes can make referrals to Leicester’s Community Health Eye Centre for NHS cataract and surgical treatments and procedures cutting out the need to visit a GP and shortening the length of wait for a hospital referral.
“Our referral to CHEC can treat conditions such as cataracts within two weeks rather than having to go onto a waiting list for up to eight weeks and works particularly well for the elderly who don’t have to visit a GP with the current long wait times or wait for a letter for a referral to hospital,” said Mr Nabee.
